We accept a specialized technical group dedicated to the written report to evaluate these materials. This group evaluates all materials in 3 areas:

• BENZOPHENONE-two AND 4
What is information technology for? Benzophenones 2 and 4 act equally filters, protecting the skin and/or the characteristics of products (such as coloring, for instance) against the harmful effects of UV rays.
Why are we replacing? Some recent studies (but which have not been endorsed by the scientific community) accept pointed out that benzophenones are harmful to the marine environment and to children.
So, despite the fact that benzophenones are proven to exist safe, they have become the target of rumors and today they are of concern to consumers.
Grupo Boticário has never used benzophenones as a skin protection factor. Now, it is replacing use equally a product protection factor, fifty-fifty if the concentration in this case is low and does non nowadays a risk.

• PHTHALATES-DIETHYLPHTHALATE

Why are we replacing? There are different types of compounds belonging to the class of PFAs.
Some types of PFAs are related to ecology impact and potential chance to homo health. Perfluorooctyl Triethoxysilane does not present any scientific prove regarding ecology damage or homo health. However, due to grade controversy, we decided to eliminate this compound from new releases.

Why are we replacing? This Guide is applicable to all new fragrances used in products of Grupo Boticário's brands and is updated periodically, whenever there is a change in the technical or regulatory scenario.
